iFax: Send & Receive Fax App App Reviews

Barely adequate.

This app works, but it is too slow to send faxes. Getting a number to recieve faxes is way too expensive for casual fax users and it does not work well for international faxing. I ended up cancelling my incoming number and asked for a refund.

Doesn’t work

Kept getting the message that it couldn’t send because of a system failure with Apple Store and that I should restart my computer and resend. After several tries, I gave up. Too bad. Have used it in the past and it worked fine.

The app that used to work.

I used to like this app because it worked. It took awhile to send but it did. Now I have nothing but trouble. The app is having issues with the app store and payments. Every time I try to send a fax it tells me they are having trouble with the app store and to try later. I am done trying.

Great APP

This E-fax app is great! Works every time and I have no complaints.

Very Unhappy

I used this app last year… It failed to send most of the faxes but still charged me. This year I tried it again; it wouldnt send, annoying. After restarted my computer, as the app suggested, I open the app back up to see it sent one of my previous attempts but the date of the fax was a year old. Update: THIS APP STEALS YOUR MONEY. Ive tried several times this morning to send a fax. I would like to use the credits Ive purchased and each time it asks me to buy more. So, I buy more… and the app says once again that Ive purchased the credit but the fax was not sent because of a technical error and I need to restart my computer.

Far too many updates

I have better things to do than update yopur app ever couple of days. Stop it. Once every two months would be more than often enough.

Do not use this app!

Yes, this app simply steals your money. It charged me $2.99 to send a fax, but the fax was not sent.

Terrible

iFax worked at one time last year, lately the faxes are never sent and i’m still being charged. Going to use a different App.

Send two faxes, never arrived

I send two faxes which were confirmed by the app as being sent (so I suppose received) but upon checking 4 times at the hospital with someone who was sitting next to the fax machine, nothing arrived!! Then I tried to send a fax to a fax machine I have access to, again confirmed to be sent, but nothing came. It ain’t working.

Handy

It is so nice to be able to fax things from home. I don’t fax things very often but when I do it is something important. My first FAX never went through and I think I eather had the wrong number or something and I canceled it later. You don’t get a refund? I have FAXed a half dozen or so things since without any problem and I am very happy with this app.

CONFIRMED App DOES NOT WORK.

Tried this three times. The app WILL NOT SEND FAXES. But they will charge you. No in app perchases work but Apple still charges for them. No faxes are sent. The developers are now criminals for taking money and not delivering. It is a SCAM! Ive reported the abose to Apple. DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!!!!

Updated every week as an ad

This app works fine, but they have been updating it every week now for several months as a kind of advertisement. Extremely annoying.

Finally Able to Send Fax - Constantly Updated

A new release of Mac OSX is coming out. Not sure if there are any bugs to fix or they just want to lower critical reviews. Normally I would say updates were a good thing. However the frequency of these leaves something to be desired. ******After prior trial and error, and waiting on software updates, I was finally able to send a single text fax page to myself. I am using El Capitan 10.11.2 with a Mac Pro. The ifax version was 2.1.5. I sent it using the pay as you go option and not the credit based fee. Before I used it to send an important fax, I wanted to send it to myself. In viewing the outgoing fax, you should know that outgoing fax will indicate some unknown sending fax number. I asked if my own fax number could be indicated on the outgoing instead of the unknown. This is where they are probably going to want the large monthly fee with your own fax number.

This version is junk.

It charged me after a confusing set of contradictory dialog boxes, but the fax just sits there and iFax says it is, “unpaid & unsent.” Past versions worked. This one doesn’t.

Continues to fail

I continue to have a problem using this app. It used to work, but the last few times I have tried it, it keeps saying not sent, not paid. I’ll have to find another app that works.

Takes forever to send!

I got this because unfortunately in this world, people still want you to send things in an archiac way, and want to fax things rather than scan and email. So I downloaded iFax becuase I got sick of using FaxZero because I thought that it has to be an easier, native way to send things. However, this app has been buggy since the first day I got it. It takes about an hour for a full fax to go through, and I ended up just going to Faxzero anyway which sends in less than 5 minutes. I also ordered a personal number through the app which is cheaper when compared to other sites, but still not a great deal especially for the bugginess of the app. If you guys can make it send quicker, and update the interface, then I think it would be a great app.

Failed to send faxes repeatedly

Tried four times to fax tax documents to the IRS, every time the fax failed (I finally sent the documents off in the mail). A few days later I received a recipt for two faxes sent, now I have my tax refund delayed six to eight weeks due to the confusion. This app is absolute garbage.

Don’t bother.

This app is abusing the update process to spam. Many new versions, same update text.

Seriously?

After a couple months using this app with acceptable results I tried unsuccessfully to send fax to another country (Guatemala). I can understand that software can have debugs and errors, what I don’t understand is why charge customers before to complete service… the worst part was not the several attempts to send failed. The worst part was being charged and not refunded… and even worse they totally lacks of customer service. I won’t use it any more definitely. $8 wasted at the end.

Was A Good App.

72 credits was not enough to fax 27 pages. Stupid me bought more then the app crashed and never go to work again.. So basicaly it cost me $20 to fax 27 pages.
