iFax: Send & Receive Fax App App Reviews

Great app I acquired a month ago because I was going to need to be sending quite a number of faxes. I’ve sent over a dozen now, and each time it works great. I just drag-and-drop PDFs of each doc I want to fax. I exclusively use the apps capability for In-app purchases to send a fax, using my iTunes account. On “send" I get prompted to log-in to iTunes, where I approve the purchase, and it’s done seamlessly. $0.99 for up to six pages is pretty good. One 19 page fax was only like $2.99. Sometimes it takes a while (1/2 hour?) to finally get the Fax Sent acknowledgement (and email), but it’s always worked.

I’ve been using this app for almost a year now. The app works but I always get 2 conflicting messages, 1 says fax sent successfully and 1 that says fax not sent try again. I’ve communicated this with both the developer and apple but it has never been resolved.

When I first purchased this app, it worked like a charm. The next time I used it, it would not work and kept charging me. With Apple’s help, I discovered that I needed a credit card on file for the app to work. I added a credit card and I had some trouble, then the developer did some updates and it has been working now pretty darn well. Well enough that I have changed my reviews. I might add that the developer refunded my money for the faxes that were not sent.

Very convenient service, in an age when a fax machine belongs in a history museum. It works very well and is of great assistance on the occasions only a fax is accepted.
