iFax: Send & Receive Fax App App Reviews

Has never Worked

I have tried several times to use this app and it does not work. It bills me but never sends the fax. I go back later and it tells me the price is now higher and wants more credits which it lists as Null !

Seems to work, but buggy

I’ve used this many times. For the most part it works. But, I’ve received error messages on a number of times. These tell me that the Fax has failed to send for “unknown reasons.” I’ve then resent those faxes, same error message. I’ve resent the message, and, again, the same error message. But…my recipient then tells me they’ve received multiple copies. So…whay is that? Why do I get these ‘false’ error messages? Other than that, this works fine….when it works. It is very buggy.

Meets my needs and worked perfect

While I don’t need to send faxes from my computer often, this application is easy to use. The fax I sent cost me .99 cents and was very easy to create (including a cover sheet). I would highly recommend to anyone.

High quality, dependable faxing

No problems whatsoever. Easy to use, high quality, dependable.

Easy to set up on my MacBook OS El Capitan 10.11.4

Simple to set up, Simple to add Credit, Simple to attach/drag file to Fax with optional Cover letter template. Received an Email with confirmed sent and a Clean image copy of the cover letter and following page image (including date and time). Send time 3min.

no problem with purchasing bulk credits

I do business with other online compainies who sell bulk credits so I don’t understand how someone would feel scammed. This app is easy to use and the information about costs and purchasing credits is easy to understand. This app is easy to use and does what it is supposed to for a reasonal fee.

app not accessible

The app has no labeled buttons to help the voiceover user receive or even send a fax. The images are labeled oddly. Over all the interface is horable!

has not failed me yet!

I am reading some reviews that claim that the application does not send a fax. I found that, in my experience, to be untrue. What proof do I have? I have sent a minimum of 10 transmissions without a single failure. Also, users are NOT looking closely at variable and, therefore, placing a label of “dud” on the application when it may certainly be one of the other variables. So, unless the other variable have been eliminated, it is not possible, scientifically, to trash the application with a reliability issue.

I feel scammed

At first I thought this looked like a great app - they certainly promote it as a free fax service..but then of course, there are in app purchases…which, I decided is fine. I’d have to pay to send a fax anyway. Then when I put in my number and uploaded my file, it said it would cost $2.99 to send..which I thought - sure, why not. I initiated payment - on iTunes the payment showed up as $3.99, but again I thought - uh - ok - I just really want to send this stupid fax. Once the payment was confirmed and I hit send on my fax - I get yet another page that says - hey - you don’t have enough money to send this fax and then brought up yet another page outlining that this would cost me $1 per page but you buy credits - so you have to buy more credits than necessary to actually send the fax. All in all - if they had just been honest from the start, I could have made the decision and likely would have paid $1 per page to fax - but their method of free to $2.99 to $3.99 to more money leaves me steamed. Don’t even bother with this app - they stink!

Did not work

Tried repeatedly to fax. Checked number (by calling from phone to make sure it picked up). It charged me twice but never delievered. DO NOT USE

Nothing But Crashing

This could possibly be a useful application if I could get it to a point where it would actually run. I guess it no longer works with OSX 10.8

Buggy Application

The application gives errors, sends faxes without confirmation. Just wanted to send one fax for $.99, couldn’t send so I had to buy credits for $2.99, and got the same error. Emailed tech support and was told in broken english that I was only charged twice, totally ignored my request for a refund. Avoid this one.

Stuck at “Sending"

Maybe this app was good once, but don’t bother getting it now. Twice I have tried sending a 1 page fax (simple text, nothing complicated on the page) and it just sat at “Sending” for over an hour before I gave up.

Not sexy but does the job

Used it several times. Will continue to unless I have an issue. None so far.

DO NOT USE

I downloaded the app because I don’t have a fax machine at home. I had to spend 4.99 before the fax was sent, and the fax was never send I tried sending it for over a hour without success. I tried to resend the fax hours later and I got a message asking for more money because the paid amount wasn’t enough. This app is fraudulent; please spare yourself and do not download!!!!

Excellent Tool

Love using iFax. It gives you an opportunity to draft a cover page before you send your fax and you can always view your activity and print transmission reports as needed. There was a slight bug with an upgrade (they fixed it within a day) so I had to use a competitor’s application. There was absolutely NO comparison. I was relieved when it worked the next day. I am very happy with this app, both in design and functionality.

iFax

Worked great with previous Mac software upgrades, does not appear to be working with Sierra. Will not send document.

Doesn’t work anymore

I used this app fine in January and now it has suckered $10.97 out of me thinking it was something on my end. Quite an inconvience. Please fix the app or refund me!

Faxing from home at anytime ,

I have been using this for a while now , and the more i use it the more i like it….very practice

Works great for us!

We are lucky if we send 5 faxes a year so it is not worth it for us to pay for a land line just to send faxes and therefore we really appreciate being able to use this service. Faxes are always received without issue! Thanks! Melitta
